Winter / Spring Produce Co-op

It's time again to sign up for the Winter/Spring Produce Co-op at the farm. This year, we're going to hold two different sessions:

Session One is from November 6th - February 26th
(there is a two-week break as the farmstand is closed from January 1 through January 14th). The session costs $600 and you will receive approximately 20% bonus on your investment.

Session Two is from March 5th - June 11th 
This session also costs $600 and you will receive approximately a 25% bonus on your investment.

A typical winter share for session one will be approximately $48 retail value of produce each week. Session two will be approximately $50 in value weekly. Your investment is $40 per week, paid up front at the beginning of the session. We are able to give these discounts because we know exactly how much produce will be sold each week. The winter share also helps us keep our farmstand staff employed over the winter so we can avoid laying people off. 

The share will usually consist of salad greens, braising greens, fruit, some starchy vegetable like potatoes or yams, and the rest is made up of vegetables. In the months of November and even parts of December, there are still some local items that will be part of the share, such as onions, potatoes, winter squash and braising greens like kale and chard. The deep winter months of February and March usually have distributions featuring organic domestic citrus and organic vegetables from California. We are able to get very fresh produce because we are able to buy exactly the amount we need, so there is no waste. We do our best to source first from local farms, then from organic domestic farms and our last choice is organic non-domestic farms. Occasionally, we include local cider or our own eggs as part of the share.

Sign up forms are available in our farmstand. Please sign up by November 1st. Pick up days are Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays from 8am - 6pm.
