| Farmer Andrew's Update
We had a great turn-out for our "Meet the Baby Chicks" event last Saturday. Here is a photo of members Kendall and Jordan Smith holding the five day-old Rhode Island Red chicks that will soon be part of our laying flock.
We've been busy clearing some future growing fields next to the farmstand. We'll probably run the pigs through those areas again this year and then next year plant some PYO crops. The other projects that have been taking up the field crew's time are seeding veggies and flowers in the greenhouses, spreading compost and pruning blueberries (by the way, there are tons of flower buds which is a good sign that we will have a large crop again).
For most customers involved of the grocery co-op, it's time to renew. For 2008, grocery co-op members will receive a 10% discount off all purchases in the farmstand. If you'd like to join, please visit our website or ask to see a catalog at the farmstand. There are many great items through our distributor that we don't have space to carry in the farmstand. |

Established by Samuel Masih to provide healthcare, education and housing for the local community, a major goal of the organization is to promote independence. Since inception they've helped grow over 20 artisan owned business.
