Farmstand
The center for our farm activity is the Green Meadows Farmstand, in Hamilton, at 656 Asbury Street at the Topsfield line. It is open to the public: you do not have to be a CSA member to shop the farmstand.
Farmstand Hours:
Summer Hours: Tuesday through Sunday - 8am - 6pm
We strive to carry mostly local or organic items in our farmstand. The spotlight of the Farmstand is, of course, our own fresh organic produce grown here at the farm. We also buy in produce from other local and organic farms to add variety. Our chef bakes fresh cookies, muffins and scones in addition to preparing sandwiches, salads and soups featuring our own organic produce when available. We use corn plastic containers, corn plastic spoons and forks, and wrap our sandwiches and granola in vegetable cellulose bags.
We also carry a full line of local and organic dry goods, such as sauces, salts, cooking oils and grains. Cheeses from local farms are some of our most popular sellers. We also sell lacto-fermented vegetables, miso and tofu. In our freezer, you’ll find locally grown grass fed beef and other natural meats. Our coffee is organically grown from fair trade farms, and our milk is from a local dairy. For those looking to buy specialty natural foods items, we offer a grocery co-op.
In addition to food, we sell fair trade gift items, locally produced beeswax candles, natural soaps, children’s toys, books relating to food and food issues, metal water bottles, natural cleaning products, composters, rain barrels, and our own t-shirts, hats and sweatshirts.
Outside of our farmstand, we carry seasonal items like locally produced wreaths in the winter and our own organic seedlings and tomato plants in the summer.
Many of our selections will change weekly, so customers are encouraged to drop in regularly to see what is new!
Farm festivals, birthday parties, school outings - and more - take place behind the Farmstand.
